H.E. Marty Natalegawa
May 31, 2010 – Phnom Penh: Foreign Minister promotes dialogue for ASEAN regional development. His Excellency Dr. Marty Natalegawa of the Republic of Indonesia visits The University of Cambodia as part of the Asia Leadership Center’s Eminent Leaders Lecture Series.
The University of Cambodia and the Asia Leadership Center invite the public to spend the afternoon and dialogue with H.E. Dr. Marty Natalegawa as he speaks on the topic “ASEAN and the Evolving Regional Architecture.”
The lecture series will take place at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the UC Conference Center on The University of Cambodia’s main campus, just south of the Independence monument.
His Excellency Dr. Marty Natalegawa, whose full name is Raden Mohammad Marty Muliana Natalegawa, came to office in 1986 while working for the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. He has served as Chief of Staff of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Director General for ASEAN Cooperation, Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Permanent Representative to the United Nations. In October 2009, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) appointed H.E. Dr. Marty Natalegawa as the youngest Indonesian Foreign Minister in his cabinet.
During the event, UC President, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn will bestow an Honorary Doctorate Degree on H.E. Dr. Marty Natalegawa for his lifetime achievement in the field of international relations.

Dr. Marty Natalegawa as part of its Eminent Leaders Lecture Seriesas it strives to achieve its goal of promoting, encouraging and informing people about the many different aspects of leadership. The series intends to cover a variety of topics relating to leadership, including peace, development, democracy and many more. Accompanied by other programs such as workshops and interactive conferences, it is just one of the ALC’s tools to perpetuate an understanding of leadership in today’s society.
