Founded in June
2003, The University
of Cambodia (UC)
strives to provide
quality education
for students to
develop critical,
analytical, and
creative thinking,
and to promote
academic excellence
at the national,
regional and
international
levels.
The
University prepares
students to address
the increasingly
complex issues in
society and to
discover meanings in
their own lives. It
encourages diversity
in its student body

graduate, and
professional
courses.

University nurtures

In
the short time since
its founding, The
University of
Cambodia has quickly
become a leader in
scholarship,
research and
publication. The
University boasts a
rigorous,
interdisciplinary
American curriculum
and Cambodia’s most
extensive library
collection. UC is a
leader in Cambodia
in research,
dialogue and
publication. It
publishes a
newspaper, The
Cambodia Weekly,
and owns a radio
station, Radio
Southeast Asia, or
FM 106 Mhz. It
also publishes the
Journal of
Cambodia Studies—the
only research
journal among
Cambodian
universities—and is
the first university
in Cambodia to run
Dr. Handa’s
Eminent Diplomatic
Lecture Series,
a Distinguished
Public Lecture
Series, and a
Visiting Research
Fellows program.
At the same time,
The University of
Cambodia has been
running several
important programs
include, among
others, the Asia
Economic Forum
(AEF) and the
Asia Faiths
Development Dialogue
(AFDD).
As a
leading private
university in
Cambodia, UC is
centrally located in
the heart of Phnom
Penh. The University
offers a range of
