UC Students Win Debate Competition

22 May 2013 (Phnom Penh) – A team of four students from the University of Cambodia (UC) won the Ministry of Environment competition debate, based on the theme  “Promoting Child-Friendly Schools is a factor for environmental sustainability” as part of the 30th Youth Forum Discussion on the Environment. Apart from UC, three other universities participated in this program: Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia Mekong University, and Chenla University.

The four students selected to represent UC in the competition were Saya Linda, Heng Malika, Sam Sochet, and Bun Penghuy. UC competed against the Chenla University in the first round and won the final round against the Royal University of Phnom Penh after receiving a score of 634, compared to latter’s 629.
