25 Nov 2010 UC Observed National Day of Mourning

The University of Cambodia community was deeply saddened by the tragic event that occurred on the final day of the Water Festival when roughly 340 people were killed in a stampede in Phnom Penh. UC observed a national day of mourning on Thursday, November 25, 2010. Students and faculty members were asked to wear white tops on Thursday, and UC flew its flags at half-mast. In addition to hanging a banner in front of the university, UC fundraised from November 23 - 24 and donated the funds to a charitable organization that will support the families of the victims.
