IT Department Upgrades Computers

UC updated its computer labs and offices across campus with 19 new computers. |
In a recent technological overhaul, The University of Cambodia ordered 19 new computers for deans’ offices, administration offices and the virtual library. The new computers contain one gigabyte of RAM and 180 gigabytes of hard drive that will run smoother and faster than the older systems, Teav Chhun Nan, Director of the IT Department said. The IT Department will also be working to remove old computers or refurbish them so they process at higher speeds. "We will upgrade the old computers and format them with Windows to put in the computer lab," Chhun Nan said. |
Through this process, the computer lab, which is used for teaching computer courses from all majors, will expand to accommodate 12 more computers, he said.
In addition to the new computers, UC ordered CD players for the Center for English Studies classrooms and a copy machine and scanner for the administration office.
