UC to organize the fourth Asia Economic Forum

The third Asia Economic Forum on ‘Leadership Needs and Challenges in the Twenty First Century: Asian Perspective’

will be organized by University of Cambodia from 2-5 April in Hotel Intercontinental

Update on Dr. Handa Fund for the Victims of the Khmer Rouge Genocide

As part of Dr. Handa Compensation and Memorial Fund for the Victims of the Khmer Rouge Genocide, a total of 500 families in Kampong Thom province who had been victims of the KR genocide (and today remain very poor) each received US$100 on March 6th.

The Dr. Handa Fund is named after its principle donor, the Japanese philanthropist Dr. Haruhisa Handa whose pen-name is Toshu Fukami. The Dr. Handa Fund is a “symbolic gesture,” with the aim to console and support families who faced economical, psychological, and physical distress during the Khmer Rouge era.

UC  receives donation of books

UC is grateful to the Embassy of India for a donation of Books.

Mr. Parimal Kar, the Second Secretary (Political and Cultural) and Head of Chancery handed over a first donation of 52 books on a range of subjects - from management to biology - on 14 March 2007 to add to the shelves of the Toshu Fukami Library.

These will make most welcome additions to our ever-growing library, for the benefit of our students and the general public alike.
