FELLOWSHIPS AND INTERNSHIPS

We encourage good-calibre students who wish to join our graduate program to apply for one of the following. Since competition is stiff, students are encouraged to apply early. For application deadlines, procedures and forms, inquire at the Office of Admissions and Records.

1. FELLOWSHIPS

The University of Cambodia is committed to building a tradition of inspiring students to think beyond simplicity and to view learning as an adventure where they can discover, create and contribute to knowledge development in their respective fields and help the community.

i. University of Cambodia Graduate Fellowship Program

This offers qualified students the opportunity to study in an academic institution that focuses on quality teaching, research and scholarship. Qualification will be based primarily on financial need and academic promise.

Graduate Fellowships are available to students interested in participating in the educational and research programs at one of our Institutes or Research Centers, while pursuing graduate degree study at the University of Cambodia. One full-year (3 consecutive terms) fellowship is awarded to an outstanding student seeking a Master’s degree and one full-year (3 consecutive terms) fellowship is awarded to an outstanding student seeking a Doctoral degree at the University of Cambodia.

ii. Graduate Teaching Fellowship Program

Students accepted on to this will receive a full or partial fellowship in return for performing undergraduate teaching duties. Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree and be competent teachers; renewal each term will be based on maintaining a good performance record, both in course grades and in teaching.

iii. Graduate Research Fellowship Program

Students accepted on to this will receive a full or partial fellowship in return for performing research-related duties: the collection, analysis and compilation of data. Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree and be motivated to participate in research projects where they help to collect, analyse and write up data; renewal each term will be based on maintaining a good and reliable performance record, in both course grades and research-work.

2. INTERNSHIPS

The University of Cambodia can offer internships (minimum duration: 6 months) to good students who have already graduated from this or other universities, so that they are able to get on-the-job further training in areas related to their degree and their future ambitions.

Whilst there is no remuneration for the interns, our policy is to regard this as a probationary period: those who perform well will get priority in consideration for a full-time job when the appropriate opportunity arises.
