This is a draft of the
second edition of the University of Cambodia’s Catalogs. It provides information
on our degree
programs, both existing and in the pipeline; and on what students who
follow
these programs should expect, and have expected of them.
Since the first edition
appeared in September 2005, there has been a
major revision of the degree programs offered by the University.
Feedback from
many of our existing students indicates that they feel uncomfortable
with
receiving lectures, and then being examined, in English. Therefore, the
University
has decided to expand its reach and its accessibility: new students who
have
less command of English and/or less confidence in themselves can do
some or all
of their classes in Khmer. Therefore, from June 2006, new students can
follow
one of three different tracks:

We
would like to thank all of those who have helped to produce these
catalogs.
However, we are fully aware that they are very much works-in-progress.
The
University of Cambodia was only opened in June 2003, with some of our
first
cohort of students graduating in September, 2005. We are sure that the
mushrooming of human knowledge, together with national and
international
developments, will be reflected in constant updating of these on-line
catalogs;
as will feedback from existing and prospective students about how best
to
modify and fine-tune our present programs, and those planned for the
near-future, to make them better suited to the local context.
